The Level 2 Foundation Course and Exam in Leasehold Management is the first qualification for leasehold management professionals after joining TPI as an Affiliate.
This qualification is the industry standard for residential property managers looking to gain recognition for their learning and to use the professional designation ATPI.
Level 4 Course and Exam in Leasehold Management. This qualification is the industry standard for senior residential property management professionals, looking to become full members of TPI and to use the designation MTPI for their professional status.

This Professional Diploma is designed for members working in Scotland for a factoring business, whether a private company, local authority or housing association.
Individual membership is open to all property management employees who want to gain professional and industry-recognised qualifications. The Individual membership groups are as follows:
TPI qualified individuals are able to progress their careers and improve their skillset. They can continue to develop their skills by progressing through qualification pathways which cover Leasehold, Build-to-Rent and Scottish Factoring.
New applicants start as Affiliates and are encouraged to embark on our qualification pathway, advancing to Associate and eventually Full Member status.
Affiliates must log 15 hours of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) with us per year.
Members who have passed our Level 2 exam remain Affiliates and proceed to our Level 3 qualification. Affiliates must log 15 hours of CPD with us per year.
Associate members have passed the Level 3 exam and must log 15 hours of CPD with us per year. Associates may use the designation letters ATPI after their name.
Full members have passed the Level 4 exam and must log 15 hours of CPD with us per year. Full Members may use the designation letters MTPI after their name.
Fellow (FTPI) status is discretionary, awarded by the TPI Board of Directors to Members with ten or more years' current, relevant experience in residential property management and who can specifically demonstrate that they have made a significant contribution to the development of the sector over and above that made to their own business or employer.
Membership of TPI is voluntary so individuals who join are showing a clear commitment to providing the best customer service and operating to the highest possible standards.
TPI Individual members abide by The Code which is an introduction to the principles which TPI members are expected to adhere. It is a condition of membership that all members undertake to be bound by the Code and the standard of conduct implicit in the Rules of the Institute.
Those involved in the management of residential property have legal and ethical obligations. The legal responsibilities are governed by the rules established in legislation and the rights and liabilities arising out of relationships with individuals are set out in civil law.
